Hi peeps! I would like to share an exercise in storytelling with you. What follows is the first episode of our no budget unscripted post apocalyptic web series. We used a hacked GH2 as main camera and a 5dmkII as b-cam. except for the narration, there was not a single line written down, no notes, no storyboard, no shot lists or notes, and all dialogue and plot was made on the spot. I wanted to see, if a story creates itself if you give it enough room and options to do so. while many things changed along the way, the story adapted itself to the circumstances, and a coherent story formed the in sixteen days (non-chronological) shoot, over a period of six month.
