Hi, well Ive been back at my studio for the past six weeks, Catching up with you all after a wonderful trp to Italia with my son Zach. And a lot of my clients have been aware of my application and CV which was viewed and considered successfuly by the National Gallery of Victoria NGV for there 18mth scholarship to study Art History at the Gallery and also to be trained as an Art Guide for the NGV. So on the 27th of November I was asked in to be interviewed, the interviewing panel consisted of 3, and the conversation went for maybe 40 mins. I got a sense that it kind of went really well, covering a wide range of topics mainly associated around art and my studies in Italy over the past 3 years, and my year at Melbourne University were I recieved 3rd and 2nd class honours for my research essays, on Renaissance Art of Firenze and Venezia. At the end of the interview I was told that I would be notified on the 12th of December, on weather I was successful or not. Well then, yesterday I recieved the most amazing news that it was a YES. A yes, I have been awarded this marvellous opportunity to study art at the NGV for a period of 18 months. It is a dream come true, I am so very happy, what a fantastic early Xmas present. My studies commence next Feb 2015, my contact hours will take place on Mondays all day and Tuesday mornings. The scholarship will last for an18month period which will also include a 6 month period of study at the Ian Potter Centre at Fed Square. And the part that really excites me the most is the intense training that will cover the guiding program. To be able to take interested groups of people through our beautiful Gallery and guide them through a journey of art appreciation and leave them with an experience, I can not think of doing anything better. Because Art is for everybody, and it touches people inside and when we experience this emotional connection it touches the core of who we are on a much profound spiritual level.
