Highbridge Desert Storm Registered Kaimanawa from the 2009 muster. 6 year old black gelding. Approximately 15hh. Solid build, excellent feet (unshod currently). Clipped and ready to be bought in for this show season. Star has been broken in as a 4 year old. Turned out each winter. Has done a lot of hacking out over the farm so is used to stock, machinery, kids, dogs etc. His show history consists of Champion inhand at A & P level in Kaimanawa Classes. Always highly placed in Pleasure Classes at A&P shows and sports days. Jumping career has only just started last season. He has a natural ‘show hunter’ type jump. Star has a quiet demeanour. He can be fresh at the beginning of the season after a winter off and can throw up his back legs with excitement, however, there is no dirt in this and it is quickly resolved with consistent work. When in full work he is very quiet, and has been used for beginner riders. Star would suit a person returning to riding, or a teenager coming onto hacks. Would like to see him go to a knowledgeable home where someone will continue his education and compete him. He is excellent to handle in all areas: feet, worm, clip truck and float; happy to go out in company and individually. For sale due to breeding commitments and showing young stock.
