Hinduism is a faith in philosophy unlike faiths in a single personified god. A picture is worth 1001 words. So called natural languages are spoken man made languages where as picture is a visual truly natural language which is unique and does not get changed. Spoken languages get lost/changed within comparatively short time than visual language. Hindu philosophy is described in terms of many pictures, truly natural language. God the supreme is beyond time and space and hence dimensionless, shapeless and pure and is the creator as well as destroyer of the universe. God maintains the universe between creation and destruction. The supreme is represented by Shiva_Linga. The supreme initiates the creation with His energy, represented by `ADI_PARASHAKTHI (Shakthi). Siva and Shakthi are shown together as half man and half woman, termed ‘Ardha Naareeswar’ to mean that they are one and the same. At the beginning of the creation, the energy expands creating SPACE. Time is unidirectional and hence is represented by snake which, normally, moves only in the forward direction. The snake, representing time which is named ADI_SESHU meaning the very first, ever remaining and ANANTHA which means unending. From the energy in the space, waves, described as sound in the scriptures, generate. From these waves, sub-atomic particles, described as air in the scriptures, generate which randomly move in the space and get attracted to each other, due to gravity, to form huge spherical bodies in which fire gets generated due to very high pressure. With pressure and temperature building up due to more and more particles getting attracted on to the huge sphere, a variety of atoms form in the spherical body which combine to form molecules. In the process water molecules form. This was written in the scriptures as water getting generated from fire. Similarly more and more elements form in the spherical body which blasts off when the expanding force, generated by the heat inside the spherical body, overcomes the gravitational force. The dust, blasted off, forms planets around a very hot SUN at the center. Thus huge number of solar systems come into existence in the universe. SIVA occupies the space to form the soul, Aathma, on which BEINGS exist. The Beings are minds with bodies in unexpressed form. The beings get physical bodies from the nature to become living beings. This is represented by SUBRAHMANYAM, son of Siva and PARVATHI, representing mother nature. After death of the living being, the being is shifted to another body, to live on, leaving the dead body to decay back into the nature. This is represented by GANESH. The being is also represented as a snake, because all the beings always exist with time and snakes shed outer layer of their skin periodically just as a being leaves the worn out body at the time of death, to get a new one. The beings share the soul. This is depicted as Siva having snakes as ornaments. As time passes, the supreme remains in YOGA, meditating. This is represented by VISHNU resting in meditation on a big snake, representing time with names unending ‘Anantha’, also named ‘Aadi Seshu’, the first ever remaining, representing time. Periodically he rises to establish Dharma, prescribed way of life. By following the prescribed way of life, people get good health, wealth and education, represented by Parvathi, LAKSHMI and SARASWATHI respectively which are the derivatives of Shakthi/energy. Thus God is beyond physical nature and hence pure and shapeless, represented by a SivaLinga, having five aspects : space, time, energy, physical nature and living being, individually represented by Siva, Vishnu, Shakthi, Sun and Ganesh. This is also represented by Goddess Gayathri with five heads and ten hands. So God is one expressing in five basic aspects. Nature has many more aspects. So God expresses infinite aspects.
