His Birth So they ( the Shepherds) came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. Luke 2:16 (NASB) It would have been logical to expect God to tear open the heavens and descend to earth in majesty and power on that first Christmas night--but He didnt. Instead, on that quiet night in Bethlehem, a virgin mother laid her newborn baby into a manger designed to feed cattle. Truly God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. The birth of Jesus Christ--the Son of God, our Savior--went unnoticed by the vast majority of the world that Christmas night, but no event in human history was more significant. May His birth--and all it means--not go unnoticed in our lives!
