Historic first today! Senators & Representatives from SC & GA met near the Hartwell Dam. The bi-state alliance was joined by Gov. Haley & Gov. Deal. The mission of the Savannah River Legislative Caucus is to promote the effective management of the Savannah River Basin which rolls from the headwaters near NC and empties into the Port of Savannah 312 miles to the South. The Savannah River is an economic engine with two million people living in the basin on both sides of the river. It is vital to our health and prosperity.
