History Discussion-Webb Ave The Central Square Community Historical Society Would like to invite you To attend our meeting on Sunday August 18, 2013 At 1:00 pm at the Village of Central Square offices 3125 East Ave. Our topic will be Webb Avenue homes and families The Village of Central Square Museum will be open to the public on Sunday August 18, 2013 following the Historical meeting. The meeting begins at 1pm and museum w...ill close at 3pm. Meetings and museum will generally be on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1-3pm. The purpose of these events is to increase and share historical information for the Village of Central Square. People can view different parts of the current collection, share items they have or just reminisce. If you have a local history artifact that you would like to have photographed for the collection or donated to the collection please bring it along. Also of interest are historical documents and photos as well as personal writings. This will be very informal with the intent to continue to document the past as well as the present. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions please feel free to contact Heather Stevens-Village Historian at dstevens@incpark Some of the early history of Webb Ave includes the Hanor Home, Hegarty Home, Webb Home, Fuller Home, Wilcox Home, Blacksmith shop, slaughter house and a brick yard. This street has been known as Brick Street (1916-1919), Pleasant Ave (1920-1944/45) 1946-Webb St, 1949-Webb Ave. We hope you can join us!
