Hit a black lady in the head on the subway ( damn crowded C train.) felt so bad I laid a soothing hand right back on top of her head. Suddenly the memory and potential consequences of touching unknown black womens hair came back but her quizzical look as if to say what are you doing? Struck me like a shoe. Strangely enough she started laughing. I guess the look in my face was that funny. Gotta love humans
