Hmmm, Memories of 9/11. I was living out West at the time. I had fallen asleep with the TV on tuned to BBC America. I had been watching a comedy show. When I woke up they were talking about a plane hitting the tower. I remember thinking that that was a piss poor joke (I was still was half asleep) I then came fully awake and turned to CNN. Part of me still does not believe that it happened. One of my first jobs in the city was with a horse goods manufacturing firm situated where the Towers were built. Later I was in one of the Towers to deliver insurance paper work to the Chilean trade group.
