Hmmm.... Parents, may I have your opinion on this? Obviously Nick and I are not yet parents, but I hope to gain wisdom regarding discipline for when the time to do so presents itself. There are many things the author of this blog said that I do not agree with. My mom only had to spank me once.... ONCE... in my entire child hood. I never grew to fear her. I understood full and well that my actions deserved consequences and that I had sinned against my parents which meant more importantly that I sinned against a holy God. So, I think the author has several flaws in his research when he says spanking doesnt work. Also, Nick and I have observed many of our friends methods to disciplining their children, several include spanking, but in our observations, Godly parents always display such grace in their discipline. So again, I think this fella is inaccurate in his efforts to research results of spanking. Perhaps the results he presents from the studies he researched were not that of christian homes. But thats just my opinion.
