Ho chiamato questa pagina lavoro con il cavallo in libertà, ma strada facendo mi sono resa conto, che non corrisponde alla realtà. Anche se non cè lobbligo di partecipare (almeno così crediamo), il cavallo si sente in qualche maniera il dovere di rispondere ed eseguire le nostre richieste. Ma dubito che sente veramente gioa farlo. Forse un suo istinto di mantenere una certa armonia lo porta a farlo e percepisce che siamo più sereni se ci accontenta. Se noi siamo contenti , siamo più rilassati nella sua presenza che porta ad una maggiore armonia. Cè però un esercizio che lui propone da se o almeno lo esegue prontamente. Ho aspettato tanto prima di chiederglielo, perché avevo il timore che gli potesse creare dispiacere. Ma invece gli piace. Lui è molto chiaro quando dimostra che è abbastanza. Non ama ripetere un esercizio più di tre volte. Fino a tre volte lo considera un gioco, dopo diventa esercizio o lavoro. Ed ecco il punto, dove lavoro in libertà si contrastano. Quando qualcosa si converte in lavoro, non è più libertà, non è più il suo interesse, ma linteresse di qualcun altro, in questo caso la mia richiesta di perfezionamento. Although there is no obligation to participate (at least so I believe), maybe the horse feels somehow obliged to respond and perform our demands. But I doubt he really feels joy doing it. Maybe his instinct to keep a certain harmony leads him to follow our request and feels that we are more peaceful if he contents us. And if we are happy, we are more relaxed in his presence which means more harmony. There is, however, an exercise which he proposes by himself or at least follow easily to do it. I have waited quite long to ask him, because I was afraid that it could create discomfort. But instead he likes it. He is very clear when it shows that it is enough. He does not like to repeat an exercise more than three times. Up to three times he considers it a game, after it becomes exercise or work. And here is the point where work at liberty becomes a contrast. When something converts into work, it is not anymore liberty, it is no longer his interest, but the interest of someone else, in this case my request for perfection.
