Hobbs College Football Predictions Once again, college football is here and each Saturday, Ol Hobbs will take a much needed break from the legal game, political punditry and other areas of enlightenment to hole up in the man cave and watch my favorite teams do battle. I rep my alma maters, Morehouse, Florida A&M and Florida without reservation, and as a southerner, I believe that the best football is played in the south, specifically the SEC (Grown Man Football) with an honorable mention to the Florida State College for Women, oops, the defending national champions (and SEC shoulda-been but they skated to the ACC in 91) Florida State Semi-Folds. I also sense that the long dormant Miami Hurricanes are on the way back to form, which is great because the State of Florida is THE top state for high school football talent----period! And I am an unabashed Black College football fanatic and serve notice that the FAMU Rattlers will be striking in a city near you soon while taking the MEAC crown (Yo to the Nupe and homey, FAMU Head Coach Earl Holmes). The jury is still out on my Maroon Tigers of Morehouse, though, but our Honda Quiz Bowl team should be really good once again, too. :) And yes, it is still great to be a Florida Gator and I predict that we will win the SEC East and play Texas A&M for a slot in the playoffs. Dont laugh---Im dead serious as you wil soon see. Anyway, let the trash talk and fun begin!
