Holiday Over.......how do I know........there are crumbs found all around the house and they resemble pieces of turkey, ham and pie......the house has a stillness from the aftereffect of disagreements, laughter, loud voices, crying from laughter,the clang of silverware from the shovels to ensure everyone gets their fill of the amazing meal, the entrance way no longer has unlimited footwear and the house has been put slowly back together......the memory of greeting with hugs and smiles as they walk through the door for the first time this weekend and then the hugs and waves from the porch as they make their way back to their busy lives....those few short days are filled with happiness, craziness and most importantly love.......I was on my way up the stairs and said listen...what do you hear......silence......till the next holiday when we repeat the same insanity and celebrate being a family.....love
