Holy Father- Thank You for those that carry the message; for those - TopicsExpress

Holy Father- Thank You for those that carry the message; for those that witness. Thank You for reminders of Your presence. You are the Light of the world. I finally got to sit down at the end of a long day of packing and work on Saturday to chill. I watched a show I recorded from Friday called Last Man Standing, which is the new Tim Allen sit-com. I have been a Tim Allen fan for a long time. Friday night’s show was so refreshing. They did something you rarely see TV shows do, especially these days of political correctness. They had the guys from Duck Dynasty as guests on the show. What was special is that one of the regulars on the show was going through a personal crisis and they used that moment to talk about Jesus Christ. The preacher from the Duck Dynasty show sat down with the guy and spoke to him about a personal savior and letting God into his heart. Later on in the show the family prayed before dinner. Sometimes it seems like it is okay to talk about anything but God. It seems like people are afraid to offend someone by bringing up Jesus. Yet, just about anything else we do seems acceptable! Nowadays it is not uncommon to see lots of profanity and nudity. So a little God on the tube was a nice change of pace. It makes me wonder if I don’t fall into the same trap. Do I hesitate to talk about my own personal experience with Christ? Am I afraid to offend someone if I bring up the subject of God? Do I let people know that God is the center of my life and He is my purpose? I have been saved. I live free because of God in my life. That is my truth and I want you to know. Remind me, Lord, that Your grace is free and Your requirements are few. Help me to have the courage to share about You. I pray for those that need You in their life; that I may be an example of Your great love. There is no greater power…arrr, arrr, arrr. Amen.
