Holy fu$king shit. Yesterday was the most magical, powerful and epic day of my life, thus far, along with the absolute hardest! Baby Cahlo and I are recuperating at the hospital just till tomorrow morning. In the end, there were some complications with an extended pushing phase in which I really struggled to move Cahlo down through my birth canal, which led to his ingesting a crapload of meconium. He also had his umbilical cord wrapped 1x around his neck. Were sooooo good, happy & healthy less than 24 hours since his birth though! Early this morning, after laboring in grace & ease all day on Monday, we were transferred from the birth center to the hospital where ideas of pitosin, an epidural & an emergency c section were contemplated. After 24 hours of laboring, I was exhausted & spent. Yet, with the help of my Beeloved Community by my side, I found the strength & tenacity to bear down and birth this boy naturally through my vagina. Hallelujah!!! This rite of passage is a Shamanic journey. Ill share more soon and I wanted to thank you all so much for your love & support on this journey. Infinite blessings abound...
