Holy hell!!!! I just saw the friggin paper I have to write this week in my International Relations I class!!!!!!!!! "Take a recent example of an international situation you read about in the news. Briefly describe the situation and the main actors. Using the foundational theories of international relations that we have studied thus far in the course (realism, liberalism and constructivism), identify and describe which of these theories you believe explain the actors’ actions. Explain your reasoning. Reinforce your argument by incorporating at least three of the assigned course materials. Don’t forget to include an introduction and a conclusion. Your essay should include: A) an introduction which provides background, your thesis statement, and a preview of your main points. B) three body paragraphs. Each one should include one of your main points, evidence from the readings and analysis. Do not rely too heavily on quotes. Frequently, paraphrasing is your best option. C) a conclusion that ties your ideas together and discusses their significance. Setting up your essay, turning it in, and seeing feedback: 1. Do not use a cover page. Your name and assignment name, date, page numbers, etc. should be in a header. This professionalizes your work. 2. Prepare a References List (which will be the fifth page of the assignment). You will need to list the sources you used within the essay in a References List. 3. Put your name on the file and the assignment name, too. Use this form: Yourlastname210MT.doc or Yourlastname210MT.docx. 4. Use standard Word settings for the assignment. Double-space, 12 pt. font, 1” margins. Use subheadings to set off the various sections of the paper, giving the subheadings a catchy title to let the reader know what’s in the section. 5. Upload the document to the correct folder in Assignments."
