Holy moly, Batman... I love the way people think if you have kids and write from home that its all you have to do. Even if you dont have kids. The house doesnt clean itself, nor do the dishes magically end up washed—or the laundry for that matter. We also dont have robots to dust, pick up clutter, or cook our dinner—which we have to go shopping for, bring home, and put away. Being a stay at home mom isnt a walk in a Disney park. Its hard work. Even more so if those kids are home all day. Wanna really up the stakes? Have more than one. Those husbands who make all that money so a woman can write all day? He has needs, too. He wants your time, attention, and love. He also wants to sit down and relax when he gets home. After all, hes been at work all day, who can blame him? Nothing in life is easy or free. Its rare to get a moment for yourself for anything when youre a stay at home mom. Im not one who speaks out often, but the all too common idea that women sit home all day, twiddling their fingers, while their man goes off to do the real work, rubs me the wrong way. Be very careful what you wish for; you just might get it. Try it a while and see if you dont agree. *steps off soap box* That is all. Carry on.
