Home Run Contest last nite, i DVRed it and watched this morning. Lacked a lot of big boppers, i want to see the big strong guys, i dont care what kind of year they are having - Miquel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Albert Pujols, Big Papi, and so on. Pitiful to see NO YANKEES in it, i hate to see our lineup without that real big home run hitter that we usually have had over the years. As much as we need pitching, we need someone in the lineup that scares opposing pitchers. Anyway, Giancarlo Stanton should have wound up against Cespedes for the final, but he totally blew it. He looked so good in the first round, and hit that one monster 2/3 up in the upper deck, then fell apart in the next round. Cespedes is great, the Yankees made such a mistake not going after him hard when he was available, that was when they were in a keep the spending down mode, and they lost out on a lot of really good foreign players. Looking forward to the AllStar game tonite, i hope pitching doesnt dominate.
