Hoopers, another amazing and inspirational video for you all to ponder. This video was pivotal to my hooping journey. Anah Hoopalicious is THE MOTHER of modern hoop dance. She used to compete (she was on Americas Got Talent) and try so hard to do the most insane tricks..... until she realized that impressing others didnt make her happy. Because hooping isnt about impressing others. Its not about how many amazing tricks you can do. Its about DANCING. Its about SELF EXPRESSION. Its about ART. Its about LETTING GO. Its about SELF RESPECT and SELF ESTEEM. Now, most times when you see Anah perform, she barely does any tricky tricks. Shes just in her hoop, bustin a move and dancing with the simple rhythm of the hoop around her waist. Its impressive in its simplicity and inspiring in its humility. Hoop love
