Hoover elementary needs your help! Public education is important. Third grade is a pivotal year, especially in Oklahoma Ed with the reading requirements as they are. Maxs school, Hoover elementary, found out yesterday that we will lose one full time teacher (a 3rd grade teacher) and 2 part time positions due to budget cuts unless parents can raise $25,xxx by Tuesday. Budgets are difficult. Funding is difficult. I, as a parent, feel that the third graders will do better if Hoover is able to retain the teachers they currently have. The admin, teachers and PTA have their hands tied but there are PARENTS trying to save the positions. If you know of anyone, individual or business, that would be willing to donate anything they might be able, it would be greatly appreciated. My cell is 918 810-6803 should anyone have questions.
