Hope these are ok to post. There are two photos of Big Bend Powerhouse taken from the other side of the Feather River-where the houses, school and railroad tracks were and one picture of the houses taken from the powerhouse side if the river. You can see the tram down the side of the mountains and the swinging footbridge across the river. The powerhouse was built in 1906. My Grandparents moved there in 1924-my Grandmother moved from Wyandotte when they married-she was OHS Class of 1919--my Mom was born in Oroville -thats where doctors and hospital were-but spent pretty much her whole life here--she was OHS Class of 1943 -I lived here from 1950 until it was evacuated in 1968 as preparations were underway to clear for Lake Oroville. I was OHS Class of 1966. It was a great place to grow up!!
