LETTER TO THE EDITOR – SUDBURY STAR – NORTHERN LIFE REGARDING CANADAS INVOLVEMENT IN SYRIA ROBERT PERREAULT 13/09/2013 Lately there has been much disorganized coverage it seems by the media on “Syrian Conflict” and what exactly is happening. However; anyone compassionate and motivated enough to learn, and care will have been keeping tabs on the conflict as I have been. I believe it was sometime last year, possibly even the year before when I went online to get some perspective on the issues where I came across a video of a young boy who had his face blown half off. Surrounded by more wounded in a dingy, dirty, extremely busy make shop medical center. The 13year (invalidated) old boys flesh, cartilage, and jaw had been completely destroyed. Shreds of his cheeks skin flapped, and hung in air. As the look of terror in his eyes seemed surreal I then realized that there is something seriously wrong with the state of Earth and the governing species involved with its protection. It seems like the “mainstream media”, and even some “alternative media” will consistently perpetuate propaganda in order to steer public opinion in a certain direction; whether it is left, or right. However; my real concern is whether or not Canada is really considering entering into this conflict (CONFLICT: NOT WAR) with Syria because obviously the United States cannot attempt to control other nations without escalation, and further destruction of our habitat... As Canadians we are going to be at a projected 605 billion dollar debt by the end of this year, and I believe we are appearing more and more like America’s economy, and country, instead of our own. We need to end debt, not fuel it, and perpetuate its existence. It is a form of modernized slavery; except nations are the slaves and banks are the masters. We have serious problems throughout the globe, and another conflict is the last thing any nation needs. This is the age of information, where it is no longer easy to lie and deceive as it once was. Anyone can Google Syria and get some real perspective as to what might be happening. Whether it is a false flag operation, where evidence has been created to accuse another nation, or person, or whether it’s a pursuit of profit and control for the U.S. military industrial complex, its government, and the banks which run and supply it. I strongly feel that I am not the only Canadian, let alone Sudburian, who believes war, is a nonsensical act of barbarism. We must mature as societies, and unfortunately, quickly. Otherwise all that we know will be at stake eventually. Probably within the next 25-100 years. Debts rising, the Pacific Ocean is contaminated, tensions are rising between nations, and it seems no one has solutions to these problems. Let us speak freely. Believe in nonviolence, for it is the only thing that seems will save us from each other. Make it clear what you believe in, and why Canada should or shouldn’t help the United States bully another nation. CANADIANS; PLEASE HEAR MY PLEA AND REFUSE EVEN CONSIDERING ENTERING INTO ANY CONFLICT WITH ANY OTHER NATION, SO THAT WE STOP WASTING EACHOTHER, OUR MONEY, AND THE EARTH. The United States will fail of its own accord, and when it ceases to exist, it will seek aid. Let us be the ones who remain peaceful by nature, and do our best to preserve life on Earth.
