Hope this helps others like it helped me. Im praying for you today. Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a fathers protection. Sigmund Freud Freud was right, the desire for protection is seen in the life of every person. Business is concerned with industrial sabotage, the government is concerned with Eco-terrorism and homeland security. Observe the American family and you will find safety measures employed in every conceivable part of their life. Every thing from seat belts and air bags to deadbolts and motion detectors. The greatest safety of all is placing oneself in the hedge of Gods security. Satan was fully cognizant of the fact that God was protecting Job. Do you really think that the Devil, who is not omniscient, could see the hedge. The truth is that he had considered and tried to no avail to disrupt Jobs life. Satan could not touch Job without a sovereign sanction to do so. The hedge, was built around three things; his holdings, his house and himself. His protection was facilitated by his conscious choice to walk perfectly before God, to live uprightly, to fear The Lord and to hate sin. These four things were the material out of which his hedge was manufactured. If this be so, what have you provided to The Lord, for the building of your hedge? Does the Devil have to get permission to affect your life or are you wide open for attack? 1. Satans Assumption (Hast not thou made an hedge...) 2. Secure Areas (Gods hedge secured Jobs) a. Holdings b. Household c. Himself 3. Sovereign Advancement (...Thou hast blessed...) a. Labor (...the work of his hands...) b. Luxury (...substance is increased...) Bro. Andy Wells
