Hopefully everyone who attended the sleepover has caught up on sleep by now. We had tremendous amounts of fun and sugar, learning about our theme for the year of going out to Bring the Message at our little Good News Cafe. The girls brought home a bookmark to remind them of the Gospel Message, summed up with 4 post-it-note pictures. We challenged the girls to pray often for the chance to share the Good News, and gave them a few tools to start a conversation (such as starting with a smile and introducing yourself, and we asked them to imagine a good ice-breaker question, and we did some charades to illustrate ways their actions can show Gods love). We also talked about how missionary work can help them find their way abroad, but it can also happen close to home in their neighborhood. One of the best tools (I think) is going to be the team spirit were building in these girls to head outside our comfort zones and report back to each other what were seeing God do. We encourage you as parents and mentors to join in the fun. The more people we get on board this journey, the faster God can come back and say to us all, Well done, good and faithful servants!
