Hopefully many of you will have already heard from your children that we had a day long visit today from Aunty Shaa, a Gumbayggirr elder. A special assembly welcomed Aunty Shaa to the school and the whole school sang to her, partly in the Gumbaynggirr language. Aunty Shaa also sung a beautiful song for the children, and then spent the rest of the day visiting each and every class and getting to know the children through exchanges of stories, questions and play.
