Horses are amazing, if you didnt know that already. Rossi trotted for the first time in nearly a year on Saturday. Not quit 3 mins had him huffing and puffing. He still wasnt recovered by the time I got him down to the barn. Today, he trotted 8 mins and barely a nostril flare. breathing was normal in just about one min. I wish I could get in shape that fast! Ive never brought a horse back into work from such a long rest period. Not really sure yet what to expect and how to proceed. All I do know is that I will listen to my horse.
