Hot On The Heels with Sarah Biryomumaisho at 6:50PM Uganda and Rwanda have been named as the only countries out of the five East African Community partner states that have ratified the EAC peace and security protocol which was signed on February 15, 2013 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The five EAC states were given one year to ratify it aimed at improving security in the region. Changes are expected to take effect in the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) as contributing countries occupy new areas of operation ahead of a major offensive against the al Shabaab militants.
