How about an update on the IllinoisValley Peru Pads Shelter? As of last week, there were 7 clients in the Peru shelter. And 2 of them have gotten jobs since Sept. 1st! Its so enjoyable when they come in to the store to get their clothing and shoes for work. :-) Their excitement is contagious! Did you know that the shelter offers classes in budgeting, creating resumes and job interviewing, and basic computer skills? And, yes, there is homework! :-) Even with the homework, the clients are looking forward to acquiring new skills or brushing up on their current skills. I hope you feel good about this because your support of Lily Pads supports the shelter. THANK YOU SO MUCH! :-)
