How can youth become champions of action and lead the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda? The WFUNA Youth Seminar aims to create ownership and discuss the involvement of youth in the post-2015 development agenda process. When: January 11-15, 2015 Where: Step by Step International School - Jaipur, India Who Should Apply: UNA/UNYA youth leaders ages 18 to 26 Participation Fee (includes food and accommodation during seminar): USD100 for international participants USD50 for Indian participants Information for Indian Participants The Indian Federation of United Nations Associations (IFUNA) will conduct the selection of Indian participants. Please contact Vinayak Srivastava for more information on the selection process. APPLY HERE Deadline for applications: Thursday, December 11, 2014 WFUNA will select 12 international youth leaders and 12 Indian youth leaders endorsed by their respective UNAs. Context and Objectives: Todays youth will be in charge of leading the next development agenda. We want to provide them with the tools that are necessary to support its implementation. Through dynamic sessions, participants will focus on learning and discussing the post-2015 development agenda. They will be asked to create awareness raising campaigns or projects inspired by the post-2015 process in their countries, focusing on amplifying the voices of youth and their involvement towards the next Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will be able to explain the ongoing discussions around the Sustainable Development Goals Participants will be able to design and implement a project framed around the priorities highlighted in the post-2015 development agenda Participants will be able to design and implement an awareness raising campaign framed around the priorities highlighted in the post-2015 development agenda Participants will be able to use different fundraising strategies to guarantee the sustainability of their respective projects or campaigns Participants will be able to better use social media effectively to promote their project or campaign objectives Draft Program Click here to view a DRAFT PROGRAM. FAQs I am not a member of a UNA or a UNYA. Can I still be part of the Youth Seminar? The Youth Seminar is designed for members of WFUNA Youth Network. You will need the endorsement of your UNA in order to be considered for participation. Does WFUNA cover travel costs? Unfortunately not. However, participations fees are low to make sure that participants can focus on fundraising for their own travel costs. Will WFUNA provide any document acknowledging participation in the Youth Seminar? After completion of the Youth Seminar, WFUNA will provide a certificate of completion to all participants. Questions?
