How did God finally get me out of the pit??? Love came down and - TopicsExpress

How did God finally get me out of the pit??? Love came down and rescued me. He lead me to read Max Lucados book, Youll Get Through This. It has really helped me. That book, and the way He provided an opportunity for me to spend a couple of days away, on a retreat/reprieve at a sister-in-Christs home, was what I needed which allowed God to reach down in the pit, with His mighty hand, and pull me out! YET, A WHOLE LOT LEAD TO THAT.... What did I do, and suggest for you to do, while in the pit?? Find yourself Prayer Warriors who will be in constant prayer, for you, and with you. (I cannot thank mine enough!!!) Be in the Word everyday and focus on scripture that pertains to you. Confess Gods Word out loud over yourself. Pray unceasingly with THANKSGIVING (very important to find things to be thankful for) and praise everyday. Have worship music on 24/7 (It dispels the darkness in the spirit realm.) and sing along from the depths of your soul when you feel lead. Get supportive friends to come around you. This is extremely important. (I am in awe of the way God has bonded my friendships and the way these ladies loved me through my time of need.) DO NOT ISOLATE. Get out of the house. You must go to church!! (I love my church family Adventure Christian Church. They never cease to amaze me. The people there are the most genuine, authentic, and loving family I have ever had. God knew right where to lead me because I dont have an extended biological family. They have blessed me in so many ways.) In your darkest hour, reach out! (I know how hard it is but you have the power of the Holy Spirit in you! When you are at your weakest allow the strength of the Lord to push you through to reach out!) You may need to take time off from your ministry or where you volunteer your time so you can REST. You may need to take time off from work to REST. You may need medication. (Do not feel guilt or shame about any of the above! That is from the enemy.) Do not trust your feelings/emotions. The enemy will use them to lie to you. Trust the Word of God and what it says is truth about who you are. The Word of God is NOT based on feelings but on TRUTH and facts. Could it be, Jesus lovingly allows us to slip into pits NOT because He wants us to fall into the enemys hands and wander into the darkness of despair, BUT because He wants us to STOP and have TIME (as we are forced to be STILL in the pit)? How will we choose to spend our time there? Will we focus on despair and follow the path of the enemy? Will we focus on Him and follow the path He has? He desires for us to let him rescue us. We must SEEK HIS EMBRACE (HE IS IN THE PIT WITH US) of PEACE and REST. LET HIM WRAP HIS LOVE, PEACE, AND REST AROUND YOU LIKE A BLANKET. He is your REFUGE and STRENGTH. The Father loves us more than there are stars in the sky and sand on the seashore. So, take the retreat/reprieve He is asking you to take and regroup, realign your priorities, get the rest you desperately needed. Whatever the reason you are here, obey Him. Thank Him. I sincerely believe that while we are in the pit, we are NOT to focus on the misery of being in it. (Its hard not to focus on the darkness all around you. I KNOW!) We are to focus on GOD (the LIGHT!!!!). Dont look around you. Lift your eyes and LOOK UP! AT THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD! Your help will come from the Lord. He will not delay because like Max says, At the right time, in the right way, he will do the same for you. He will pull you out of that pit!!!!~ kc
