How did you awaken today? Did you wake up with a song or a sigh? Have you thought about the goodness of the Lord or are you thinking on all of the difficulty that you have to face at work or in your household. Listen to the Psalmist, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps 118:24). No matter what you have to face this is still the day that the Lord is in control of. Success lies in your daily routine. So, get to know God better through His Word and prayer. Make up your mind to be of service to somebody every day. Tackle a problem bigger than you. Encourage everyone you meet. Take the first step toward overcoming a bad habit. Do something for somebody who can’t repay you. Change your thinking from TGIF (thank goodness it’s Friday, to TGIT (Thanks goodness it’s today). The truth, of the moment, is the time to be happy is now, and the place to be happy is here! You don’t have to wonder if it is God’s will to be a blessing to somebody, you know in your spirit that it is. I believe that the biggest obstacle that we have in our life is coming to a complete understanding that it is not about ourselves all the time! Yes there are moments that we are in need, and we must concentrate on the source of the solution, but more often than naught, God wants us to be His resource, and blessing in our world.
