How difficult can it possibly be to manufacture exercise clothes of reasonable quality? Why does this country - that presumably made fabric since before the Internet, which is as far back as anyone needs to care about, why does this country not get that right? Why does one have to import sportswear from abroad? Why do the shreds of fabric here have to be so fragile and unflattering? Why must chocolate-flavored drinks cost as much as a mortgage and why is it that the powders rarely ever dissolve in milk? Try an experiment with Nesquik vs. Bournvita and youll see that its like working with pixie dust vs. gravel. But the Nesquik of course costs about 3 times what it does in the US? Its not exactly caviar or white alba truffles- why is such a basic thing so hard to make right here? And finally, why cant a country with about the most densely packed quota of estrogen not figure a way to make more decent sanitary napkins? Yeah I get that most women in the country use rags and when you upgrade them from there, newsprint is five-star levels of comfyness and progress. But why on earth cannot the women in this country have sanitary napkins that work like Shamwows rather than bunched up, wedgie-creating, burn-inducing pieces of expensive crap. Theres no way were going to be any sort of legitimate global player or threat to China until we can figure these three out. This is precisely what is correlated with superpower status. These three and the prevalence of dry loos.
