How do the pet store owners involved in our movement feel about - TopicsExpress

How do the pet store owners involved in our movement feel about this: "Keith Burgess, owner of Pet Paradise in Newmarket, believes those stores that no longer sell pets have not done so out of concern over puppy mills. “It absolutely has nothing to do with anything other than economics,” said Mr. Burgess, whose store has sold puppies and kittens for 22 years. “It’s not a huge money-making thing. It costs a lot of money to do this,” he said, adding shelters aren’t a good alternative because they offer mainly larger dogs, while buyers prefer smaller ones." Also, that last statement about small dogs from shelters is ridiculous. I wonder what Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue (PSBR) would say to that? All of my dogs are rescues, and under 25 lbs.
