How does the community feel about the speed of the internet service were getting in our neighborhood? The United States, as a whole, is behind the curve. Many of our trading partners and competitors have been investing more than we. So, were already setting the bar pretty low to even compare the Cedars with the rest of the country. Theres a reason Im bringing this up. One of the CNA members was complaining about internet issues last night. Id always assumed the issues Ive had were peculiar to our building. But, she doesnt live in our building, and yet shes had issues. Im aware a tremendous investment was made in laying fiber optic cables under the streets downtown, and in my former community of East Dallas. Is the service in our area better, or worse, or on a par with that elsewhere in Dallas? Given wireless capabilities, is this even relevant? Ill be the first to admit Im out of my depth on this issue. Thats why Im putting it out in this community forum. I yield to those more knowledgeable than I. I know youre out there. Let us know if this is an issue our leadership team ought to address in the coming year. Your thoughts, please.
