How does your garden grow? Tomato plants have many different - TopicsExpress

How does your garden grow? Tomato plants have many different enemies not unlike Christians. A common problem with tomato plants is the plants wilt on hot days and new growth is slow, stems are short, leaves are small. The plants lack vigor. The problem is root-knot nematodes, these pest which are microscopic worms live in the soil and attack the roots of the tomato. One thing that can be done to kill these worms is to solarize the soil, or turn up the heat. You can do this by placing clear plastic sheeting over the soil for three to four weeks. This heats up the soil and kills the microscopic worms. If your Christian life lacks vigor, you wilt on hot days and growth is slow that old worm the devil may be eating away at your roots. You may need to solarize the soil of your heart by turning up the heat. You can do this by purposely shining the light of God’s Word into your heart, God’s Word is light and light creates heat. Please don’t miss the point that this process with the tomatoes took 3 or 4 weeks of intense heat. The message for the Christian is keep the heat consistent and this will not only kill the worms but it keep them from coming back to attack your roots again. Psa. 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Pastor Ron
