How hard is it to get assistance on food stamps in al? I just need this for a temp thing for a couple months. I left a job due to medical issues and took a $7 pay cut. Im making $8 an hr and strictly 40 hrs a week. Its going to be hard to budget for the first couple months so I could use the help. Ive never had any assistance before. Ive legally worked since I was 15. I saw online it says for 1 person I have to make less than $16k a yr. Is that really true?
