How is it again that providing uninsured people the opportunity to buy insurance is a bad thing? Because the bottom line is helping people shut out of the for profit insurance system have access to life saving medical treatment. If we, as a people, are so selfish and careless toward our fellow citizens that we choose to deny them basic access to medical professionals, we have far greater problems than government regulation of the for-profit health insurance market.
