How many of us can say that Maddi Movement has actually changed - TopicsExpress

How many of us can say that Maddi Movement has actually changed their life. For the most part we read the posts get inspired and then realize the random acts of kindness that we have always been doing. We feel better about ourselves and come back the next day for more inspiration. Nothing wrong with this . That is what we hope is happening. Their are a kindly few that Maddi Movement has actually changed their lives. The following story is a follow up to a post that was written a couple months ago. It is about a gentleman that saw a poster about Maddi Movement and was so inspired that he went to a restaurant and bought lunch for a serviceman and his family. His inspiration has not waned. Read what he has accomplished since then Hi Joe, I still have chills about this because you and I were just talking about this man on Thursday and his previous act of kindness and this morning who walks in to my store but the man from the fundraiser with his wife. He must have noticed the shocked look on my face, I told him that I was just talking about him with a dear friend of mine. When he came to the fundraiser we had a great conversation about the Maddi Movement, and you will remember the very next day he went to lunch down the street and bought lunch for a serviceman and never let that man know it was him who bought his lunch. Being a very quiet and humble man his wife began to tell me all that he has been doing. My Maddi poster inspired him so, that since that time every single week he and his wife go out for either breakfast or lunch, they look around the room and pick a table and pay for that persons meal. He never lets on it is him, he just hands the waitress his credit card and tells her to relay to them that all he wants in return is for them to pay it forward in kindness in any way they can. He has not missed a week since the end of August. He told me since he has had a very blessed life, ever since he retired he just wants to give back through kindness and when he saw my poster it was just the right moment to begin. His wife also told me that there is an elderly neighbor who cannot drive anymore, so every week he takes this man for his groceries and to his medical appointments. We need more people like him in this world. Once again Joe, the Maddi Movement pushes on!!! I am so proud to be such a small part of this incredible movement!! Debbie Gullo
