How many of you know that Tommy Dorsey, from the big band era, wrote the precious Gospel song, "Precous Lord take my Hand."His wife was nearing the end of her pregnancy and he had to leave to go do a show, even tho something was telling him to stay. He went ahead and did his show and returned to find her and the baby both dead, having given birth while he was gone. So devastated, he sat down and wrote the song.
