How often do you get a chance to speak with or perform in front of a person that the people you look up to, look up to? Im always nervous simply existing in the same room this man! He is more commonly known as Gitano Rubio and was one of (if not the first) to bring Flamenco to this country! He said to me tonight Tienes que entender que aquí (pointing to his heart), siempre vas a tener un amigo. I cant even explain in words what that means to me and Im truly grateful for every moment I have had with this legend! He makes me want to be better than ever before and I have never met anyone like this! I had to perform in front of him tonight and for the first time in a long time, I was more nervous than ever! Im looking forward to upping the standard next time I see him! Gracias al Richard Tedesco for accompanying me in only the way he could and everyone who gave their attention! Viva la vida y viva Flamenco!!
