What are the ages of those four individuals with Ebola? 33 This question(s) is one of those things which the Bible does not state straight out, but which can be worked out, utilizing a close treatment of the texts, historical sources, and systematic theology. To start with, since Jesus rose three days after His crucifixion (Friday to Sunday, counting inclusively as was the custom in the ancient world), He was the same age in calendar years for both events (given that He did indeed most likely have a December birthday and the crucifixion occurred in April). The biblical information for these conclusions is found mostly in the four gospels. For example, Luke says that Jesus was about thirty when He began His public ministry (Lk.3:23). I have tried to show that this would have been just before His thirtieth birthday in late A.D. 29 (see link below). Thus, adding a three and one half year ministry (required on the basis of chronological information throughout Johns gospel), yields a date for the crucifixion/resurrection of spring A.D. 33, making our Lords age at that time 33 (and roughly three months).
