How they rig and conduct unlawful elections in Srilanka. First step= employ their henchmen & puppets in the Election Dept including the commissioner Second step= Hold election part by part to mobilise their thugs, henchmen, transfer their puppet Police officers to the relevant area. Third step= use the state print & mass media fabricating lies against Govt opponents & critics. Fourth step = Use the state machinery (State officials & their vehicles ) on state fuel on their propaganda activities with high financial incentives from state coffers . Fifth Step= Harass & intimidate all other opposition political contenders in their propaganda activities, using the state security apparatus along with thugs including removing cutouts & posters depriving meeting venues. Sixth step= weeks before elections visit all opposition supporters personally offer bribe to vote in their favour sometimes election cards purchased , dissent voices assaulted homes burned. Seventh Step= Come election date booth observers threatened replaced with their stooges without objections to the appearance of purchased card holders voting. In case of islandwide elections too above method implemented, counting center’s are filled with thugs preventing observers of party representative, ballot boxes stored in secret rooms for nearly nearly six hours by pro govt returning officers witch make independent observers highly suspicious giving ample time to hamper ballot boxes by well trained carpenters & designers there are many instances of opposition party observers prevented monitoring opening of ballot boxes before counting begins , we observed during last presidential election many opposition party observers were assaulted & chased by thugs of ruling junta. It was a shock & bizarre when Ranil Wicramasinghe was the first to issue a certificate in the mass media as free & fair election as soon as the results were out during last presidential election.
