How things change: I remember what a great Friday night meant in high school and college. Tonight, I watched The Lorax with River, ate plums and apples and oranges for a snack, and pretended Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia were Ana and Elsa from Frozen. I read her the usual three books at bedtime, and then she said People are different. Some people have different chairs, different skin, and some have different private areas. But were all people. I thought that was profound, so I added, Yes, were all the same at heart. She nodded and said, Yes, and we all have butts. And that was a great Friday night.
