How this kids brain works just astounds me sometimes. Our math lessons for this week are all on number sequencing, and the goal of this worksheet was to start at one and follow the numbers 1-5, in the right order to complete the star. Jack did that, fairly quickly. So, I took the sheet away, gave him the magnetic numbers and asked him to put the numbers in thier order. Instead of following directions, he put them on the table in this pattern. I didnt get it at first until I looked at the worksheet again, and noticed that they had all been placed exactly where they were on the worksheet. He memorized the locations of the numbers. How does he do that?! I need him to teach me!!
