What worked for Graphic Designers 10 years ago or even 5 years ago is not necessarily going to work today. Some are concerned that there is no money in Graphic Design because of sites like Fiverr and #Crowdsourcing or Globalization and jobs going overseas. Graphic Design is still a lucrative profession you can thrive in. It may be difficult to get a 9to5 job (I have other videos and advice on that), but if you can focus on Creating Value and demonstrating that value as much as possible you can be successful. Learning Graphic Design has also changed. With more graduates struggling to find jobs it may not make sense for you to invest in a Graphic Design degree, you may decide that you can learn what you need through books or using sites like Udemy, YouTube or Skilshare. College still has a lot to offer, but it is not the only path or a guarantee of success. Employers are interested in results not grades.
