How to make a living with your Hobby Hobby is what you love doing and not what you think you love or will like to do. The confusion about hobby is very slim, and this is the reason i briefly gave out a personal meaning on what I think hobby clearly means. I have written itvthat way because some people tend to mix up Hobby and Wishes. While I was going through an article I found online, I was laughing when it came to a point a boy was asked by his new girlfriend what his hobby is? And the boy who has No car Boldly said I love driving cars. although it is a story but stories are inspired mostly from true life events. WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY? This should be the first question you should throw at yourself whenever you think of making a living using your Hobby. Your Hobby or Hobbies in one way or another, clearly depicts what your talent is. How? If my hobbies includes; Playing football,watching football,dancing,making friends laugh, or drawing, then it is most definitely certain that my talent lies within one or all of the mentioned hobbies. HOW TO KNOW WHAT YOUR HOBBY IS I will make sure you know just how to know that before leaving this page, as it is part of the reasons you are presently here. But first of all, you have to go down low on the thought Do you like your Hobby? No, not everyone likes a their hobbies as I am one of such people. I ended up having hobbies like Playing football, drawing, dancing and acting which was really never my Hobby but I never knew It was not my Hobby. If you do not like your Hobby, then you should know it is definitely not your hobby. Hobbies are things you do as I have mentioned above and not just because you do them but because you are happy whenever you do it. This now leaves me to tell you about How to change your hobby, and perfect it which i would be talking about in my next article. HOW TO MAKE A LIVING WITH YOUR HOBBY This is the Bomb shell that have even been anticipated by me, because I actually never knew what to write about making a living with a Hobby till I glued my fingers to my Keyboard. I only Realized I have actually broken the news within all I wrote above but I will further tell you as my friend and as a reader of this Blog clearly how to do this magic. 2Chains,Lil wayne,Olamide,Vector,Jayz,Obama Alakija,Dangote etc are all making a living with their hobbies. I wont waste much of your time by telling you how to do what all the mentioned names above do to make a living. • They know what they can do • They gave it a trial • It worked and failed • They developed it • They made an achievement • They are making Living with what they can do. When you know what you can do, you should put it into trying. It will start slowly or seem like failure, but do not give up, Develop your Hobby and you will definitely make an achievement. And from then on, you will continually be making a good living with what you do. I know you are confused on how to develop your hobby, bug you should not be. HOW TO DEVELOP A HOBBY Yes everybody will tell you to develop your hobby, you need to put it on a constant practice. This is very true, but you also need to put in external effort which is to HUSTLE and PRAY. HOW DO YOU HUSTLE? Hustling doesnt mean you should go and Hawk, but you may if it will yield positive result towards your Financial status. If you already have a little finance, then you should not waste it by spending it on every Pizza or Shawarma store but you should rather make good use of it by getting some required tools you need for your hobby which is now turning into a career. If you are in the line of entertainment such as being a musician, you could try attending events which will make you meet people (hustling) also you have to promote your songs through social media so people can hear your songs and you get comments on your songs. Do not forget that the people is your tool to success as a musician, if they dont like your song then you probably need to improve. This is why you need to sometimes forget your friends and ask strangers what they think about your song. (a blogger once tweeted this; spend a little to get more upcoming artistes) I never knew I would use his tweet in my post today. If your hobby doesnt need finance which I doubt if there is such hobby, then you should stick to practice. The final approach to developing your Hobby into a full time Career, is by getting to meet people better than you in what you do. As you gradually approach this stage of switching your hobby for money, you will notice you have started making profits with what you do. For example, if you are an artist you would have collected some bucks from a client to draw a portrait, if you are a musician you would have performed in one or two Events because your music is good and add value to someones life which probably added some bucks to your bank account or led you to meet a higher expertise in your line of career. Same applies to MCs,Bloggers,Event planners,dancers etc. But this will never come to reality when you fantasize you need action.
