How to take care of Motorcycle. Things required for cleaning the motorcycle 1. Polish liquid based and Oil Based 3. Soft cloth Maintenance 1. First give your motorcycle for water service once in 6 months. Check the quality of water used in water service station, it should be soft water. The reason is hard water does not clean dirt effectively and it tends to rust more quickly. ( chemistry) 2. Change your Motorcycle air filter once in 6 month. Air filter is like lungs for your motorcycle engine it should be healthy for proper mixing of air and fuel. You can clean in your home by using air pressure using cycle air pump but you should know in which direction air must be directed. Air filter is key for performance. (Biology) 3. Before taking a ride just start the engine and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Though its a waste of petrol but it is good for your motorcycle engine. It is just to warm up like what we do in the morning. Similarly when your ride is complete don’t switch off engine immediately, wait for 2-3 min and then switch it off by pulling keys. ( Physics principle ) 4. Check the brake system once is a week. You can clean the disk brake by cleaning the disc with the wet cloth. Disc may have friction with shoe lining which in turn may make drag the direction to right. Free movement of wheel will be affected if there is a dirt in disc. So millage can be improved by cleaning the dirt. (Nano level) 5. Check the chain tight once in a month. 6. You can clean the carbon fiber body through wet cloth and then polish the body with soft cloth using liquid based polish. 7. Painted and metal parts should not be cleaned with water it should be cleaned with oil and then for shining oil based polish. 8. Correct and adjust the Air fuel screw with a expert mechanic. It is the key for pick up and millage. Don’t go for millage adjustment. Think you want to over take a lengthy truck your machine cannot overtake in specified time. If pick up adjustment employed then 0-60 is possible below 5.5 sec. 9. Clean the carburetor once in 6 month. (service center job) 9 Check your Tyre pressure once in a week. Tyre also act as shock absorber so limit the air pressure according to the motorcycle manual. Correct Tyre pressure can increase millage and pick up. 10. Check you motorcycle battery once in a six month. Sometimes it may just require few ml of Distilled water if you leave unseen for year then you may need to change the battery itself. 11.
