Howard Beach was not only the first time that any jurisdiction in the United States was compelled to appoint a special prosecutor in a racially-motivated case but it was also the first time that a legal action by a Black attorney led to criminal convictions in Queens County Supreme Court. The governor and the state attorney general were not pleased with the result. The facts in Howard Beach are similar to the facts in the murder of Trayvon Martin. Both involved "turf". The murder of Yusuf Hawkins in Bensonhurst followed Howard Beach. It was also about "turf". A white mob caused the death of Yusuf Hawkins in a white neighborhood. The family asked the attorney in Howard Beach to also represent them in the racially-motivated murder of Yusuf Hawkins. Joseph Fama was convicted of murder and received a sentence of Thirty-three years to life in Kings County Supreme Court. In the meantime, a fifteen year-old Tawana Brawley was kidnapped and raped in Dutchess County, NY. This same attorney would only represent Tawana Brawley if Black leaders would publicly pledge to retain him. They did on December 12, 1987. These leading Blacks started to run the next day. Some of them would "milk" the publicly before they ran. Two would get hat after the defamation trial. This left the attorney standing alone. Twenty-five years later, Virginia has ordered Tawana Brawley to pay her white rapist, Steven Pagones, over Three Hundred Dollars every two weeks for life. Now, a courthouse in Surry County, VA, with a statue of a Confederate soldier on its grounds, has demanded that Tawana Brawley appear in a Virginia "slave court" on July 23, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. to determine if slavery can be banned when the U.S. Department of Justice refuses to enforce the Thirteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The Obama Administration will probably run for the tall grass on July 23. Slavery is back in effect. Tawana Brawley has never been charged in any state including New York and Virginia on either a complaint of juvenile delinquency or a claim in a civil action. She must pay her rapist for life because she complained that six white men had raped her in November 1987. Her attorney refused to snitch on Rev. Al Sharpton who has now flipped after he enjoyed an acquittal on 67 counts. For representing both Sharpton and Brawley successfully, the attorney has been illegally "barred" from all courtrooms in New York. He is that good.
