Howard Hewett is one of the comeback stories ever. In 1985 he was busted with his fiancé for selling cocaine to an undercover agent. His fiancé was sentenced to four years in prison and he faced 49 years. We the case went to court all charges were dropped and Hewett said, Praise the Lord! A few months later he wrote the song Amen. I am convinced that were it not for his brush with the law he would have never written this song. But what a blessing for all of us that he did have this brush with the law.
