Hows it going everybody! Im sorry Im so late with these! I dont get any service in my high school, so I didnt get much time to work on them until just a little bit ago. But anyway, its time for the last TOP COMMENTS! Its been a great run everyone. There have been comments full of joy. There have been comments full of sadness. This bracket, just like the best Beatles songs, has been a roller coaster of emotions. It has been a pleasure voting with you all. In a time when we were all torn by FINAL FOUR battles, there were many words thrown by opposing sides in support of their favorite Beatles songs. Let us begin... THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN AWARD: The A Day In The Life/Golden Slumbers debacle of 2014, because how can you just pick one. That whole post was great! But now down to the individual comments THE NEPOTISM FOR THE WIN AWARD: Melissa Golda Berkowitz: In my freshman year of college, I wanted to see Paul McCartney perform on SNL. The week he was scheduled to perform was my first finals week of college, so I couldnt find anyone to go with me. To get the tickets, I had to wait in the line outside 30Rock. The night before I was set to go, our dorm had a 2 am fire alarm because some kid was making french fries and started a grease fire. After an hour or so outside for the fire alarm, I went back to sleep and then woke up at 5:30 am to head to midtown. At 7 am, I was the second person in line. I spent 24 hours on the sidewalk on the coldest weekend of the year.. But I got tickets and went to the show. The host was Paul Rudd and McCartney was the musical guest. For his last musical performance of the night, he played A Day In The Life. This was about a week after the 30th anniversary of John Lennons death. At the second verse, he transitioned into Give Peace A Chance as a tribute to John. I was in the front row of the balcony, slightly delirious over my lack of sleep, completely unaware of the rest of the audience around me, and sobbing my eyes out. That was one of the most powerful moments of my life. THE GOING AGAINST THE GRAIN AWARD: Tyler Hale: Voting for the medley is like getting engaged to Charles Manson in prison. THE NEVER FORGOT AWARD (sorry Ben): Jeannette Marie: Im voting for I Want to Hold Your Hand anyway, Jon. Hmph. THE SHOULD BE A POLITICIAN AWARD: Ben Miller: Melissa, on the medley: I think its better THE HECHT STAMP OF APPROVAL AWARD: Jon Hecht: This is the final for me. These are the greatest masterpieces in the history of music, and I almost cant vote for one over the other. Good job everyone, for letting these two get as far as they could. THE BACK TO REALITY AWARD: Chloe Cable: FINAL FOUR OMG what am I going to do at work when this is over???
